Born 1956 in Daugavpils, Latvia. Since 1998 lives and works in Germany. Education: 1990-1994 Akademy of Arts in Riga, Latvia ( Degree: Bachelor of Arts) 1994- 1997 Daugavpils University, Latvia ( Degree: Master of Pedagogics)
Paintings: oils, acrylics, water-colours, mixed techniques. Grafik: monotypie , paper-print, drawings.
My concept as an artist is based on my interest in human psychology and psychologie of color. My focus is on the “COLOUR of the SOUL” : the person with his dramas, desires, emotions, dreams and ideas takes center stage in my paintings. As in real life, actual things and pragmatism mix up with fantasy, feelings, inivisible things. As well, the soul is always a mirror of the problems of the world, e.g. of modern society or of nature. To visualize this “COLOUR of the SOUL” and “EMOTIONS of COLOUR / COLOURemotions” I like to experiment with materials and techniques. By painting I try to schow the person and his communication with self and his environment. So esthetics for me always has a psychological dimension.
My works have been schowing in Germany, Italy, France and Latvia.
